YACHT DELIVERY + BOAT BROKERAGE

About Me

A passion for boating.

I started my boating journey on Otago harbour working aboard “Southern Spirit”, a 60ft ketch. I then moved overseas, racing Hobie 16s and Keel boats in Papua New Guinea. I moved through trailer yachts, offshore racing, twilight racing out of Cruising Yacht Club of Australia in Sydney and Hamilton Island Race Week 1996. I then settled back to racing around the cans on a Young 88 out of Naval Point Yacht, Lyttelton, Mud House Wines Woman’s Regatta, PIC Coastal Classic on Lion NZ and cruising my Cavalier 39 back in NZ.

As a qualified chef, I have worked in a variety of marine vessels, from luxury yachts in Fiji to deep-sea fishing vessels being delivered back to NZ from Fiji, Mauritius, and Hobart.

I am an eager member of the Canterbury yachting scene. I am actively racing an Elliot 5.9 called Bob - you can follow my adventures on my Facebook Page.

I have been instrumental in engaging youth with opportunities to experience keelboat racing and adventures. Each year I work with local clubs and the wider sailing community to take Southern Youth to Auckland to experience adventures with the NZ sailing Trust aboard Steinlager2 and Lion NZ.

I have completed many offshore miles and coastal deliveries, and last year spent a few weeks in L.A sailing on “Maiden” in my journey to raise awareness for women’s sailing.

I am a qualified coastal skipper working towards my Ocean Masters and I am passionate about all things boating. Working on my own boat has given me a full appreciation of what elements contribute for a safe and comfortable life aboard.

My understanding of boating has led me to work with Vining Marine as a Boat Broker. I would love to help you transition into a vessel that fits your dreams or help you find the next owner of the boat you’re passing on.
